America Screws Up Again

She was robbed.

Angie Miller, who had been a season front-runner of the show and presumed to be a shoo-in for next week's finale, was shockingly eliminated last night. on American Idol.  And no one knows why.  While fellow semi-finalist Candice may have earned some stripes last night to get into the finale both she and the other now-finalist Kree were in the bottom two several times the past few weeks.  One blogger said Kree's "backstory" which was filmed this week may have won her more sympathy votes, but who votes for a backstory on a singing show?

This is terrible - the only reason I watched this season was because of Angie.  She's the real deal.  If this is how America continues to vote we may wind up with a socialist golfer as President one day.

And these people are popular?

What more is there to say?  It's been obvious since the attack on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya last September (two months before the election) that this administration has lied about the attack  on the very anniversary of 9/11! They blamed "the video" put out by an American that got little play in Libya anyway.  They continued to lie while the caskets of our Ambassador and three other Americans killed in the attack were flown into Edwards AFB - they had a photo op where the "major" networks cut in to display the purported remorse that Barry and Hillary had for the deaths.  Barry & Hillary gave fake heartfelt speeches and told the fallen's family that they would "go get the guy who did the video".  And the families knew that Hillary was lying then.  They plain didn't appreciate it.  The bottomline was that this was a terrorist attack from the get-go but both did not want to admit it due to its incongruity with their campaign talking point that "Al-Queda was on the run".  What is more damning is that they may have left people to die to support that claim.

Today's congressional hearings, where three "whistleblowers" (long-time State Department employees) gave testimony on the events which killed our Libyan Ambassador, his aide and two Navy Seals who arrived on their own accord to rescue them, shed new facts as to this administration's incompetence and cover-up to their actions that night.  They prevented any resources from going to save them at Benghazi and refuted efforts by lower state officials and in-country officials who asked to send aid.  Then they conducted a propaganda campaign to keep their dual presidential aspirations alive.

They are liars.  And for some reason the American People re-elected these liars.  Why? Because the media doesn't care.  The media doesn't report news - it reports celebrity gossip. They are corrupt.  It's pathetic.  The terrorists have won.

By the way, know a 2012 movie better than "Argo" (besides "Silver Linings Playbook")?  Check out "End of Watch" , a pragmatic tale of two beat cops working South Central Los Angeles.  Shot from a realistic point-of-view (lots of hand-held camera action) it shows the two police pals live life and fight drug cartels in LA's finest slums. Very well done and innovative from a not-in-your face perspective. 

Much better than Argo - and probably a heck bit more factual.  Even Roger Ebert had it fourth on his end-of-year best movie list for 2012 after that Lincoln, Life of Pi and that aforementioned Affleck fantasy movie.

Oscars for the Low-Information Voter

I saw Argo last weekend.  It was a pretty entertaining show that  mirrored a bit of today's headlines.  Unrest in the Middle East, an ineffective US foreign policy, a befuddled White House.  Package that up with good editing, a decent cast, a humorous Hollywood angle and a taut dramatic ending and what more could you want?  Not to mention director and actor Ben Affleck's underdog status going into award season?

Well, it just wasn't true.  Pretty much all made up.  Oh yeah, CIA operatives created a backstory for six Americans suggesting they were part of a Hollywood movie production in order for them to get out of the country easier - but it was nothing like the movie depicted.  They created mutliple faux story lines to make it "more dramatic" - even though they claim this was a true story that no one knew until now.

BS.  In fact many of this year's contenders have flaunted history.


Fifteen minutes.

In December, I saw Lincoln, and as a Civil War buff, I was expecting it to be a sweeping epic of masterful proportions.  Ultimately, I thought it was a incredible bore of a movie (and that James Spader, as a colorful lobbyist, was really the only interesting character).  From the baffling opening sequence of Lincoln being blatantly scolded by a black Union infantryman for not getting paid as much as "white folk", you pretty much knew this was a Spielberg homage to leftism - even though it should have been a profile about a courageous Republican president.

Since it's release, historians have criticized the film for its other innacuracies including the final scenes revolving around the vote to abolish slavery.  Not only did they mischaracterize how certain congressmen voted "for dramatic effect" they also did not pay attention to the means of order on how each representative voted (by alphabetical order instead of by state) which has upset many states and heirs as to their historical place in this vote.  This was a film that many of its participants boasted of its historical accuracy and it basically goofs dramatically about the part of the Lincoln's legacy it strives to highlight the most.

And then you have Zero Dark 30 which has been shrouded in issues since its release.  The reality is that any Oscar based on actual facts should go to Silver Linings Playbook because as Maureen Dowd said "we all know how crazy Philadelphia Eagle fans are".  For once, I agree with her.

I understand dramatic license, but certainly in this age of low-information voters many people (i.e. votes) really do believe what they see on TV and the movies.  While the 300-page book Game Change covered Hillary's failed presidential campaign, John Edwards infidelity, and Bill Clinton's racism - the only context that was displayed by the HBO production was the 18 pages devoted to Sarah Palin.  And endless Hollywood awards.

The national media is not only distorting recent political news, but also our treasured national history.  There is no award for that.


Danica Patrick Wins Pole for Daytona 500

And for more women in the news (besides a lying Hillary) - newly minted NASCAR driver Danica Patrick made history last Sunday by being the first female to qualify for the pole position for this weekend's Daytona 500.  In other words, it's the top starting positon for a field of 40+ cars commencing the race in rows of three.  Congratulations Danica.

Benghazi 2013: "What Difference Does It Make!?"

Seriously, what the diff....?  I have a campaign to run.

Indeed.  What difference does it make?  Four dead Americans.  A failed foreign policy on display a a mere days after the Democratic National Convention that droned on and on (no pun intended) about how Al Queda is "on the run" and Obama has conquered all.  Since then we have had nothing but lies and obfuscation from the administration about their failure to protect our embassies abroad on the 11th anniversery of September 11.  They did well to lie their way to a win in November, but the untruths keep coming in 2013.

First, we have last month's Hillary Clinton hearing before Congress where Democrats showered her with bon mots and Republicans were too busy making speeches that they never gave her the opportunity during those five-minute segments to let her hang herself on her own words - the very words we know lead to mistruths because she did nothing but purvey innacuracies about the incident since last September. 

Hillary inexplicably proclaimed that she never saw cables from the late-Ambassador asking for more security prior to September 11.  This is the Secretary of State (!) who is getting verbal kisses from Democrats for what a great job she did but she didn't know about "her dear friend" Ambassador Stevens impassioned pleas for help?  Or did she just not act?

Hillary claimed she had a "clear-eyed view" of the problems in the Middle East but she didn't review despairing cables from her dear friend?  When she did have time to answer questions (instead of time filled up by blustery, long-winded questions from Congressmen) she filled her bloviated answers with procedural nonsense and listing of long-worded-named agencies. And when she did become flustered upon the minimal direct questioning about her non-involvement in a 'state' activity she threw up her hands and exclaimed "At this point what's difference does it make!?"  Her testimony was dispicable and certainly untruthful.

Three weeks later, outgoing CIA Chief Leon Panetta said he did not talk to President Obama after his 5 PM meeting the day the Benghazi attacks occured.  He also said he did not talk to Hillary.  He claimed the State Department did not ask him to act.  Meanwhile the attacks went on for another 9 hours.  What were they doing?  No, what the f--- were they doing?!!!

Nothing to see here...it's all good.

A week prior to this admission, the CBS 60 Minutes program (long-known for its hard hitting investigative journalism) interviewed both President Obama and Hillary as an apparent homage to their unlikely Cabinet pairing after being bitter rivals for the presidency in 2008.  No questions were asked about Hillary's performance at the Congressional hearings or recent issues about Benghazi.  CBS's Steve Kroft just blew them kisses - and later admitted it.  Mike Wallace is rolling over....

Well, I sure enjoyed that Alabama - Navy game this past Monday. I thought it was supposed to be the National Champtionship game but somehow the BCS slipped the Middies in there instead. Well good for them. I'm glad they scored.

According the the main stream press President Obama has emerged a "winner' on the fiscal cliff crisis.  With the House approving a bill today on New Year's Day that was hastily assembled on New Year's Eve and passed by the Senate, automatic income tax increases have been averted and taxes will rise on those families with income over $450,000.  The Republicans went along with it just to avoid tax increases for the rest of the 98% of those who make less strategizing that this was better than nothing.  It also avoids automatic budget cuts to the defense department which would have been devastating. 

Of course many on the right argue against this move saying it is against principle but in reality it really places Obama in a box.  Yesterday and today he went to the podium to lecture Congress that after this he would no longer agree to "cut our way to prosperity" and that any new deficit reduction (did any really occur here?) would have to be "balanced" with additional tax increases.  Well who is he going to tax next?  The "sort of rich"?  He even said he would go after "wealthy corporations".  When has a corporation been wealthy?  And won't those corporations shed jobs in order to pay higher taxes.  He just raised taxes on small business and now he wants to raise taxes on US corporations who have one of the highest tax rates in the world?

So "how did Obama win"?  What are mainstream pundits smoking (including Fox).  Obama brought potentially a little more into treasury (around $500 billion annually) but we have a $1 trillion annual deficit and $16 trillion in total debt!  This doesn't pay for squat - and this is a win?

As I have said many times, not only are the Democrats enemies of the state but so is the media which fails to articulate the mess Obama has brought upon this nation.  And it is obvious from tonight that he is not interested in leading - but in dictating.

Comfortably Numb: Election 2012

You get what you ask for...or don't show up for..

I've tried to take a little time and a bit of reflection to understand the disastrous results of Tuesday's election that re-elected a man who has increased the national debt by 60%, done nothing to help unemployment, continues to say all our ills will be solved if raise taxes and provides a weak presence to the international community.  (The picture above was one I found to describe my similar feelings about the 2008 election, which you can read about here. It is actually a photo from a 1950's Hungarian election.  The post's title unfortunately describes the U.S. electorate).

I think Romney was an excellent candidate - I thought he would be Reagan.  I am tired of all this nonsense about him being too moderate or "not enough of a difference from Obama" which you hear from the far right.  If you can't win with a lilywhite sucessful businessman with nary a skeleton in his closet that what can you do?  The rest of the bench running was something out of a Star Wars bar scene.

Well, what Obama and the main stream media, who is definitely in his pocket, did was demonize him to death.  Romney had to get through a grueling primary with something like 18 debates.  While that battle-tested him it also drained him of resources with little to attack during the summer while Obama was running hate speech ads in the swing states.  People will talk about appeal to minorities and women, but mostly what happened is the Obama team poisoned the well on that - instead of spending time leading the country.

And there is talk about his organization and the get-out-to-vote effort.  But I don't think Republicans are the ones that respond to that.  If you have to bus people to the polls then what kind of win is that?  We know that an Obama organization on the ground did do that as best they could but they still got almost 8 million less votes this year.  Romney got about a million less than McCain.  This was supposed to be the year where all conservatives came out in droves to take down this failure of man in Obama - so where were they four years later? Did they all die?  Anyone who sat home because they thought Romney wasn't perfect for them is an unpatriotic idiot.  I heard a bunch of that last time around in '08.  You can't sit out life (see "chair").

But I believe the overriding theme that only a few are talking about is the overall demonization of anyone from a conservative or Republican point-of-view.  Look at Palin in '08 - absolutely eviscerated for no real reason.  In the meantime Obama is rarely criticized while Romney catches flak because he used the word "binders".  All while the MSM also ignores several late breaking Obama controversies like Benghazi and frankly a poor effort on super storm Sandy.  Any Republican is playing with one arm behind his back.

This election was not about a majority of people wanting wanting bigger government and increased taxes as many Democrats are now claiming.  This wasn't a "message" election.  This was an election about micro-managing liberal issues. targeting disaffected voters and managing a large electioneering machine - all with the mainstream media's complicity. And because of that the nation is screwed.  In Obama's first comments from the White House on Friday he was still slinging campaign slogans.

Because that is all he knows how to do.

I've just about had it with this guy.  Even though he campaigned for Kerry in '04, I seemed to had forgotten that when I went to see him for the sixth time in '07 in LA.  I even enjoyed the Magic album that came out that year - as really the only complete album that he's had since Born in the USA.

But now he is dead to me - frankly has been for years.  But he said he would stay out of this year's election and then changed his mind three weeks ago.  Anybody who's a bazillionaire who still sings about the little guy while flying Air Force One in these final election days with one of the most devisive, incompetant Presidents this nation has ever seen goes way beyond the pale. 

Hey Bruce, did you ask your buddy Barry what he was doing the night of September 11 while our consulate in Libya was under attack?  No?  Because they were already dead?  Well, that's what you are to me.  Dead as a doornail.

President Obama, the Defense Department and the main stream media still refuse to talk about the tragic events in Benghazi.  However, President Obama was able to make a short press conference appearance yesterday for the first time in months to talk about tropical storm Sandy, take one question, get a photo-op and then escape from the press. I don't think I've ever seen a President race from the podium so fast.

CBS News Spends More Time Hyping Old "48 Hours" Episode Then On-going Benghazi Mystery

As our headline says, CBS News has spent considerable time promoting an old "48 Hours Mystery" episode for this Friday, instead of the on-going real-time mystery with the Benghazi attacks.
As a serious fan of the show I am interested in updates of past and present homocidal mysteries that the show presents.  But I have seen this show before and it is not something new.  But I saw several promotional bits about the show on CBS Morning yesterday and this morning and at other locales.  It frankly seemed to be promoted from Wednesday to Friday this week.  Meanwhile there was no mention of the recent "mystery" surrounding the attacks in Benghazi, Libya.

Fox News has been steadfast in breaking several details about the Benghazi attack that killed our Libyan ambassador and three brave Americans.  That network has discovered that the CIA denied requests to help our "folks on the ground".  The father of one of those brave Seal's has gone on record to say he believes the adminstration "murdered his son" because they declined efforts to help a consulate under fire. While the current administration continues to not comment on the controversey, President Obama himself asserted today during an interview with a Denver TV station that the Benghazi attacks "are not what this election is about".

By the way, in the "48 Hours Mystery" that was so heavily hyped, the guy was found not guilty.  Meanwhile in the real Benghazi mystery we have four dead Americans and a President who is obviously lying, and or, not coming clean. about what he was doing when the attack happened.  Hey CBS!  Guess what you're next 48 Hours should be about?

Tonight's Debate: Will "Bob" Pull a "Candy" and Tackle Mitt? - or - I Thought the Replacement Refs Were Gone Already

For the record, I think Romney will do just fine tonight - in the third Presidential Debate which is supposed to solely focus on foreign affairs.  Most mainstream media articles I have read proclaim low expectations for Romney because "he doesn't have much international experience" and also because he dared to comment on London's Olympic security (which was underfire by the British press at the time).  The reality is that as a businessman Romney has considerable more experience in foreign markets then Obama even has today.  Meanwhile, no one seems to remember that Obama had zero foreign relations experience when he was elected, and frankly had almost zero experience in anything else save self-promotion and narciscism.

I did not come into this election a follower of Romney's, but during the early Republican primary debates he stood out on foreign affairs.  I was impressed at his command of the facts, his ability to pronounce names (you say Netanyahu three times), and his passion to correct what he sees as the pathetic, apoligistic approach this current administration has taken toward the world.  If expectations are low then he will do just fine - unless we have a "ref" come on the field and tackle the QB just as he's lunging for the goaline.

 Because that is what CNN's Candy Crowley did last week.  I mean, seriously - the actions of last week's "moderator" at the second Presidential Debate were outrageous.  As the talk turned to the unbelievable obfuscation of the Obama administration's handling of the Benghazi debacle, Mitt circled the President to catch him in a lie about not classifying the attack as a terrorist operation (the administration had blamed this all on a video instead of the obvious terrorist attack it was).  But Crowley interupted him (threw the flag), proclaimed the President was correct (gave him the ball) and then proceeded to the next question (kept running the clock).  And the MSM says Romney bungled this?  They blew the whistle and stopped the play as he was running for the final score!

Let's hope old venerable Bob Schieffer (CBS) doesn't throw himself in the game as well.  Besides, Obama's got alot of explaining to do.  Hmm, I wonder how Anchorman Ron Burgandy would handle this?

TKObama - Now the Post-Fight Analysis...

The left, and many of their cohorts in the main stream media, have had an interesting take after Mitt Romney’s impressive dismantling of a sitting President in last week’s debate. They say it was because of the altitude, or because Obama is too busy being President, or because the moderator lost control, or because Barack forgot to buy Michelle an anniversary present or because….Romney lied.

This meme is preposterous – by the way if you want to know if a Obama surrogate is spouting campaign manufactured talking points just see how often you hear the same exact line repeated over and over. Directly after the debate Obama’s team got together and just came up with this “lie” business (sometimes referred to Romney’s “theatrical” performance or he wasn’t who he really is). This is even more outrageous since it has been President Obama who has consistently lied to the American people for years.

Much of the “lie” meme is based on the fact that Romney wants to cut tax rates and cut loopholes which can encourage growth in the private sector. Why liberals and many on TV cannot understand this concept is beyond me. By reducing rates for small businesses (that Obama says are "millionaires and billionaires" which frankly is any couple or business that earns $250K or more) they can hire more workers,  i.e. more "taxpayers" and drive increased "tax revenue". With 24/7 news you would think that many in the media could explain the difference between "tax rates" and "tax revenue" instead of just keeping score (Bush's tax "rate" cuts actually produced the greatest tax revenue ever in our nation - Reagan's tax cuts had a similar windfall as did, gasp, JFK's).  Do your work media.  It's simple math.  Too bad that can't be effectively used on our unemployment reports that now don't even count the chronically unemployed in its calculations.  Math indeed.

And by the way – the score is Romney 1, Obama 0. And its just getting started - and the leftists know it.

Clint Eastwood Was Right

A major annoyance of mine over the last month, and especially leading up to the first debate, was how the conservative pundit class and other chattering jabberwockies were always telling Romney what he needs to do. "He needs to attack, he needs to be nice, he needs to hit on foreign policy, pivot back to the economy or give some national address."  I mean, shut up already.

Last night’s performance at the first Presidential Debate shows us that Mitt is doing just fine and can probably think for pretty well for himself. I don’t know how you do as well in business, save the Olympics and run a Democratic state as a Republican governor without knowing a thing or two. And I also don’t understand where the low expectations of him originate. He was the only adult on the stage during the rough and tumble Republican primary. When his back was against the wall in Florida he destroyed Newt Gingrich. He is direct, in command of his facts and above all professional.  He's a captain of industry for gods sake! Meanwhile Obama gives the same worn talking points, doesn't engage in conversation (well he's eye candy you know) and is less than nimble on his feet.  And he just doesn' t know anything after four years in office.

If the contrast between Obama and Romney couldn’t be more apparent from Mitt’s absolute drumming of a sitting President I don’t know what else will. (And the absolute freak out by the left is glaring to the point of what kind of insulated bubble they seemingly all inhabit - along with their own discombobulated sense of distorted facts). 

It is quite clear that the current emperor has no clothes – or if he does, it’s an empty suit.

9/11 Revisited...Unfortunately

Never Forget

The eleventh anniversary of 9/11 started out like many - a nation and media trying to cope and report the memory of the terrorist attacks over a decade ago.  The patriotic refrain from that fateful day was to "never forget".  But it soon became apparent that most have.

NBC's Today show, which was following 9/11 commemorative ceremonies, inexplicably switched from a scheduled moment of silence at Ground Zero to an interview with Kris Kardashian Jenner to talk about her new boob job.  Later on The View, the lead story for 9/11 was about an off-color remark the 700 Club evangelist Pat Roberson made about Muslims and their relationship with their spouses.  This led to a 10-minute exchange amongst the gal pals about how Islam is not a violent religion.  Whether one believes that or not is besides the point.  Is this what ABC leads a show with on 9/11?

Meanwhile, the region of the world that is highly populated by this non-violent religion erupted in chaos - some of it in pre-planned attacks staged by Al-Qaeda (such as the murder of our ambassador in Libya) and some by planned demonstrations that were stoked by Arab leaders via a low-rate video that had been on the web for over four months.

What we "forgot" is that we always have to be diligent.  The "war on terror' will never be over - no matter what this current administration wants to tell you.  Radical islamists just hate the secular western way of life.  Period.  And the U.S. stands as the most visible representative of the west. And it doesn't matter who the President is - he will always be burned in effigy. 

The previous week we heard at the Democratic Convention how just tip-top the current administration is at foreign relations. We saw videos of Russian warships to prove it.  And they kept telling everybody (and have non-stop since it happened) just how well they done by killing Osama Bin Laden.  Over and over and over.  Now answer me this.  If Barry and Hillary think a 14 minute video is to blame for all of this and that we need to be more sensitive to the Arab nation, then why did they make a bumper sticker out of killing Bin Laden?  Do you think that's not a bit too...insensitive?

Now we know that the attack in Libya was planned - after a week of the White House denying it.  We also know our embassies were not on high alert for 9/11 and that Hillary made sure that our marines in Libya did not have bullets in their guns.

This is your great foreign policy administration?  Anyone who loves our country and votes to re-elect this President and his whole inept cabal should have their head examined.

From Empty Chair to Empty Stadium to Empty Speech

No one was there for the One

The man couldnt even fill the Bank of America Stadium  they talked so much about for months. His platform was argued down on the floor where they excluded "God" and "Jerusalem" where it was obvious that Arab Americans were trying to rid "God" and "Jerusalem" from the platform.  And guess what?  Obama was cool with that until he got caught.  His DNC chairmain Debbie Wasserman Shultz was caught in out and out lies of misinforming people of what Israeis representatives thought about this.  This convention was all about lying to the American people.  Fairily repugnant.  This is the President?  Bottomline he's untruthful. And so is much of the main stream media who is holding all his water.

Meanwhile, former President Clinton gave a speech filled with lies. Its amaziing to me that the Democrats just want to win elections by lying to people.  How is that governing?

Bottom line - the man couldn't fill the stadium that they talked so much for so many months.  He couldn't do it - and he is fairly representative of the empty chair Clint Eastwood was talking to the previous week.  The hubris is done.  And this fake of  president is done.

Obama Unplugged: "Our Plan.... Worked." Really?

Nothing more to say.  We now have "the private sector is doing fine", "you didn't build that" and now "we tried our plan - and it worked".  Pretty soon Barry is going to have enough material for a greatest hits album, er, I mean, bloopers. 

I just love it when he's "unplugged" (sans teleprompter).  He's just so good at keeping it "real".

SEC Porkers Flee TSFL to Big 12



Ok, if you must go, just go.

HOUSTON (AP) - In a terse, one paragraph statement issued Wednesday, the SEC Porkers XXI, one of the original founding TSFL franchises, announced  that they would not participate in the 2012 TSFL draft and most likely would permanently leave the league.  GM Kit Dolan quoted family concerns, but sources say they may be eyeing a leap to the Big 12 Warehouse League.

"We have plenty of room for the Porkers and we can give them more space if they need it", one Big 12 source said.  "We may even throw in a loading bay and air conditioning if they want", he continued. "But they have to get rid of their cable show - and absolutely no T.I."

No word on who may replace the Porkers in this year's draft, but it is rumored that TSFL Commissioner Todd Guerra will be fined $5,000 for every additional team that continues to leave the league. 

The TSFL is one of the nation's longest running fantasy football leagues and last year's champion, the infamous Black Dead Presidents, will host this year's draft.  According to the LA Times, smoked pork shoulder will be catered at the widely anticipated event and served in upside-down red Razorback "hats". 

Dolan, who has not talked to the press since the announcement, was later caught by TMZ cameras outside a UA's coed's apartment and was asked why he made the unprecedented move to leave the well-established league.
